Rene Marie Russo (born Rene Marie Russo) is an American film actress, former supermodel and film maker. Known for her elegant beauty her longevity in the highly intense film industry is a reflection of her skills and talent as performer. As a young model, she started in the 70s. Then she became a household name in the field of modeling. Then, in the mid 1990s she was enrolled in theatre and acting. Then in Los Angeles and California she began to make her stage debuts. Russo first appeared on screen in ABCs Sable drama in 1987. She portrayed Eden Kendell. In her debut film Major League two years after she portrayed Tom Berengers romantic interest. At first, she was skeptical about her capabilities as an actress the reviewers were enthralled because of her tenacity. The praises were centered around her performance in Wolfgang Petersen's Outbreak in which she was competing with Dustin Hoffman and Morgan Freeman. According to her, she was never a fan for acting. Rose Namajunas has been one of UFC's most prominent female athletes. She started out as an amateur fighter who competed in regional promotions prior to signing with Invicta Fighting Championships. Then she was a part of in the Ultimate Fighting Championships. After joining UFC in 2011, UFC in 2011 she was famous because of the fame she achieved both in and out of the octagon. Namajunas, a Lithuanian-immigrant, was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on June 29, 1992. Growing up, Rose was involved in sports such as basketball and kickboxing. Invicta Fighting Championships provided her with an opportunity to fight professionally at the age of 18 when she submitted two competitors. Dana White took notice of this, and she was admitted to the UFC's strawweight class in the month of December, 2014 when Rose was barely 22. Rose was a high-flyer but she's also had lows in her professional career, but she always came out on winning. In April 2015 Rose took on Carla Esparza for the inaugural Women s Strawweight Championship at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale which she took by a technical knockout in less than three seconds into the first round One which resulted in not only champion but receiving the title of Fighter Of The Night along and making history in MMA because this was the only the first time that women competed for a championship title in any of the major promotions across the globe . After this win, Namajunas went onto have several victories, including defeating Joanna Jedrzejczyk twice which earned her Performance Of The Night honors from UFC after these wins .
